This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data when you use our website, WhatsApp services, or the RedChemistry AI OS platform.
2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Business Owner Data (Our Clients)
When you sign up for RedChemistry, we collect:
- Business name and type
- WhatsApp Business phone number
- Payment method preferences (e.g. Mobile Money, Bank Transfer, Cash, Card)
- Product and service catalog information you provide
- Messages exchanged during onboarding and account management
2.2 End-Customer Data (Your Customers)
When customers message your WhatsApp Business number through our platform, we process:
- WhatsApp phone number
- WhatsApp display name (when available)
- Message content sent to and received from your business number
- Timestamps of interactions
2.3 Website Visitor Data
When you visit redchemistry.com, we may collect:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent
- Cookies necessary for website functionality
3. How We Use Your Data
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- Service delivery: Operating the RedChemistry AI OS platform, including AI-powered customer responses, lead management, follow-up automation, and payment guidance on your behalf.
- Onboarding: Setting up your business account and configuring your AI agent.
- Communication: Sending you service updates, support messages, and operational notifications via WhatsApp.
- Platform improvement: Analysing aggregated, anonymised usage patterns to improve our services. Individual business data is never shared with third parties.
- Legal compliance: Meeting our obligations under Zambian law, including the Data Protection Act, 2021.
We do not use your data or your customers’ data for advertising, and we do not sell personal data to third parties.
4. AI-Powered Messaging
RedChemistry uses artificial intelligence to generate responses to customer messages on behalf of your business. These AI responses are based on:
- Your business catalog and pricing information
- Your payment method details
- The conversation history with that specific customer
- General language understanding from the AI model
You retain full control over the information provided to the AI through your catalog and business details. AI-generated messages are sent from your WhatsApp Business number.
5. WhatsApp and Meta
RedChemistry integrates with the WhatsApp Business Platform (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to send and receive messages on behalf of our clients.
- Messages are transmitted through Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API.
- Meta processes message delivery data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- RedChemistry does not control Meta’s data processing practices.

By using RedChemistry’s WhatsApp-based services, you acknowledge that message delivery is subject to Meta’s terms and policies.
6. Data Sharing
We do not share individual business data or end-customer data with third parties, except:
- Service providers: Cloud infrastructure providers (such as Supabase for database hosting and Make.com for automation) that process data on our behalf under appropriate security measures.
- AI providers: Anthropic (Claude AI) processes message content to generate responses. Message content is sent via API and is not used by Anthropic to train their models.
- Legal requirements: Where required by Zambian law or a valid court order. We will notify you where legally permitted.
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your customers’ data.
7. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on cloud-hosted infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest.
- Access to business data is restricted by role-based access controls and row-level security policies.
- Each business’s data is logically separated — no business can access another business’s data.
- We regularly review our security measures and update them as needed.
8. Data Retention
- Business account data: Retained for the duration of your subscription and for up to 12 months after account closure, unless you request earlier deletion.
- End-customer conversation data: Retained for the duration of your subscription to provide conversation history and AI context. Deleted within 90 days of account closure.
- Website cookies: Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Functional cookies expire after 12 months.
9. Your Rights
Under the Zambia Data Protection Act, 2021, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances
- Withdraw consent at any time by contacting us
- Port your data — request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format

10. End-Customer Rights
If you are a customer who has interacted with a business using RedChemistry’s platform:
- The business you messaged is the data controller for your interaction.
- RedChemistry acts as a data processor on behalf of that business.
- To exercise your data rights regarding a specific business interaction, please contact that business directly.

11. Children’s Privacy
Our services are designed for business use and are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. International Data Transfers
Our cloud infrastructure providers may process data outside of Zambia. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including contractual obligations on our service providers to protect your data to standards consistent with Zambian law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. For significant changes, we will notify active clients via WhatsApp.
